Hi all!

This month's Piecework magazine has a beautiful article on 
16th - 17th c. wedding knives and their sheaths. And I 
believe I recognized the author's name as one who posts 
here.

Congratulations to Deborah Pulliam for  a wonderful 
historical article.   If she is here, I have a question --

Where did you find the "caul and strings" reference?  I'm 
researching sweet bags, and would love to follow up on it.
