<div><br>As Monty discovered, Firefox does not make the poster disappear until the video is played. Feel free to file bugs against any browsers that behave differently; just because the spec allows something doesn't mean it's a good idea!<br>
<br>Tightening up the spec to require the poster to remain until the video is played does sound like a good idea.<br><br></div></div>We do need a spec change to allow the poster to be shown when the video has ended, if that is the most commonly desired behavior.<br>
