[html5] url scheme (off-topic)

I want some advice on a url scheme for a photography site I'm 
redesigning. This list is for html. Afaict, url issues are off-topic.
Does anyone know of a list for more general website design issues?

I've tried google searches, e.g., "mailing list url design", but that 
seems to bring info on mailing list software and how to create urls for 
mailing list archives. Searching for "url design" brings up useful 
articles, but no place to ask for advice.
