Sorry, I was (a) venting, and (b) wondering if anyone else was having
trouble. I noticed the change when they changed the interface of the
tool, removing the convenient get api. I asked about problems I was
having with microdata in the past, and got an answer from hixie.

However, I didn't make that clear in my op. Frustrating got the better
of me. Please accept my apologies.
