Some examples: The syntax of the numeric and date/time-values or the 
pattern attribute. The constraint that values of the min and max 
attributes must be valid according to the type of the control. The 
constraint that the for-attribute of a label must point to the id of an 
existing element.

It's much more important for the functionality of a WF2 page that the 
values are valid according to type of the control, than that the page is 
valid according to the DTD.

A user agent which only supports some small parts of the spec should not 
claim to be compliant with the spec.
