It wasn't clear to me that it's the same serializer (in Safari).
Yes, it appears that's a problem which makes that version of Safari
unusable for API using XML namespaces. Has it been fixed since then?

Is wasn't aware of the context; I just wanted to correct an incorrect
statement about IE6.
