Google Chrome has an opt-in feature for users to share anonymous usage
statistics. This option is off by default and can be changed in
Options > Under the hood. Google uses these anonymous statistics to
improve the stability, performance, and usability of the browser. One
stat it gathers is how often the heuristics in Section 2.7
<http://www.w3.org/html/wg/html5/#content-type-sniffing> trigger.
Here is a summary of that data, summed over all instances of the
browser:

This data is limited to Windows installations (because Google Chrome
is currently available only for Windows) and might under-represent web
sites on corporate intranets if users browse those sites with a
different browser.
