No, it wouldn't. Assuming the blog is viewed many more times than it's 
written, the media stream would be hosted in Europe, just like the page 
it's embedded in. It would not be possible to embed a media stream on a 
different host than the page it's embedded in. That's the whole point.

(It would still be possible to mirror hosts in different continents, as 
is done today, but that's a very different issue.)
