Removing a <source> element from a document can never, as far as I can 
tell, cause a resource that was previously not being considered to be 
considered. (Removing a src="" attribute can expose <source> elements that 
were previously being ignored.)

Doing this would cause the first file to be downloaded multiple times in a 
row, leading to excessive network usage.
