For the record, Gecko has native support for XPointer anchors if you're 
linking to an XML document.  There's no infrastructure for evaluating 
XPointer against HTML, though.  That could probably change if it becomes 
necessary, though so far we've been considering just removing XPointer 
altogether instead.
