Actually, the Java documentation is fantastic, largely because of the  
way it uses frames.  It's quite widely commended as one of the best  
things Java has introduced and the concept has been copied by many  
other implementations - including Ruby on Rails (http://api.rubyonrails.org/ 
).  By contrast, MSDN documentation is a really horrific experience  
and I've always wished they'd just move to frames.

The key point here is really to avoid basing these decisions on  
personal preference because clearly in this case reasonable people can  
and do disagree about that preference.
