What about a javascript: url, like the addressbar and links already accept?
for example:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head><title>example</title>
<script>
str = "<script to evaluate>";
w = new Worker("javascript:onmessage = function(a){postMessage(a*a)}");
w.postMessage(str);
</script>
</html>
