Use case:
Turning off auto spell checking, and using a server-side solution.
User experience would be the same, as far as the UI displays misspelled 
ranges, though suggestions are a different situation.

As an extended case:
Taboo words might be always be highlighted, even when they're in the 
user's dictionary.
