Bejamin,

I believe I have provided reasons. It seem in principle people agree. What's
we're stuck on is how to go about it.

I don't believe providing an indirect method that has a side effect of
turning on a poster is the right way to go about it while still leaving the
poster as a stepchild of the video element without any direct control over
it.
