[whatwg] Submission progress

Hello,

as I see it,there's nothing which prevents this from doing this with todays browsers. There's no magic in having a page in the background upload a file and a popup in the front trackings it's progress; upload from browser to server, popup tracking the progress is serverside. The only constraint is probably decent support in the server software. At least when it comes to PHP, there's are decent extensions/patches available for it since quite a time now.
