If you make a spelling mistake in a textarea in Safari on Mac, the
squiggly line will scale with the text or the system zoom, it will
change colors with contrast settings, and you can check for and jump
to spelling mistakes with VoiceOver.
Where accessibility features are missing, bug reports can be filed
with the IME provider.
It might also be worth documenting techniques for accessible IMEs in UAAG.
