Hello all,
Be advised that all edits made to the WHATWG Wiki after today
(2013-02-20) will be released under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0)
Universal Public Domain Declaration. All edits made prior to today
will remain licensed under the MIT License previously in place, unless
a user or a page specifically opts out of MIT and into CC0.
For the full details, see [[WHATWG Wiki:Copyrights]]:
http://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/WHATWG_Wiki:Copyrights
Wiki users are encouraged to release their previous edits under the
CC0 declaration by adding the {{CC0 user}} template to their User
page:
http://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/Template:CC0_user
Pages that were created prior to today should be tagged with {{CC0
page}} once all its contributing editors have opted in to {{CC0 user}}
or have otherwise provided a waiver of the MIT License:
http://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/Template:CC0_page
This change attempts to make it easier and clearer for individuals
wishing modify and reuse the information on the wiki, with a
particular eye towards incorporating text in future specifications.
To facilitate determining how a page is licensed, there are also two
categories that list which users and pages have opted in to CC0:
http://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/Category:CC0_users
http://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/Category:CC0_pages
Remember: If a page is not specifically tagged with {{CC0 page}}, be
sure to check the history of the page to determine whether its
contents are available to reuse without restrictions. Pages created
before 2013-02-20 will need to be verified with each contributing
editor to determine the reuse restrictions on the page.
Regards,
Gordon
